Westport,
Connecticut This project reconciles stringent zoning restrictions with the owner's desire for traditional, barn-like structures characteristic of the surrounding neighborhood. Both buildings are structured with wood framing and clad with stained vertical board and batten siding. Entered through a wooden pergola, a courtyard separates the two buildings and serves as a place for casual meetings and dining. In addition, a stone foundation, decorative brackets, and hipped roof cupolas add architectural interest while keeping within the project's tight budget constraints. Services |
