Wilton,
Connecticut Reflecting the spirit of traditional New England connected farm buildings, our design for expanding this rambling Colonial farmhouse was conceived as an assemblage of simple and finely articulated forms. The building program included a new kitchen, breakfast room, family room, and master suite. As the social and working focus of the house, the kitchen is given prominence by a muscular expression of wood rafters and collar ties in the cathedral ceiling. Within this rustic shell, the cabinetry is formally ordered into a collection of Shaker-like pieces, finely crafted of birds-eye maple. Services |
